Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? Here are the ones that come up most often.
Not at all. Many people who come to these sessions have never journaled before. All you need is a willingness to slow down and be honest with yourself.
That's exactly what the guidance is for. You won't be left staring at a blank page. I'll lead you through the process gently and at your own pace.
Sessions run for approximately 60 minutes. We move at a calm, unhurried pace.
A quiet space, a device with a camera, something to write with, and an open mind.
Life happens. Please give at least 48 hours' notice where possible, and I'll do my best to find an alternative time that works.
No. Guided Journaling Sessions are a reflective practice, not a therapeutic or clinical service. If you feel you need professional mental health support, I'd encourage you to seek that alongside or instead of these sessions.
We talk. There's no script, no set agenda, and no pressure to arrive with everything figured out. I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and help you follow the threads of what's already on your mind. The aim is to help you hear your own thinking more clearly, not to tell you what to do.
Clarity Sessions are reflective conversations, not therapy or life coaching. I won't diagnose, treat, or prescribe a plan. What I offer is a structured space to think, calm, focused, and unhurried. If you're carrying something that needs clinical or therapeutic support, I'll always encourage you toward the right kind of help.
No. You'll receive a short reflection prompt after booking, just a question or two to help you arrive with a sense of what's most present for you. Beyond that, there's nothing to read, prepare, or produce. Come as you are.
You'll receive written reflection notes within a few days of your session, capturing the key themes, insights, and questions that came up in our conversation. These are yours to return to at your own pace.
The Individual session is one focused hour for a single question, decision, or challenge. The Deep session is 90 minutes and is designed for layered challenges, when several things feel connected, and you need more time to work through them properly.
The Series is for situations that can't be fully explored in one sitting, a longer season of transition, a creative or career direction you're actively shaping, or an ongoing decision you need to think through more than once. Three sessions, spread over time, allow your thinking to develop and shift across the conversations.
Sessions take place online via video call. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive all the details you need to join.
Start with what feels most honest about where you are right now. If something is sitting clearly at the front of your mind, one question, one decision, the Individual Session is usually the right place to begin. If it feels bigger or more tangled than that, the Deep Session offers more room. If you're in a longer season of uncertainty or change, the Clarity Series may serve you best. When in doubt, reach out before booking, and we can work out what fits.
No. Many clients arrive with an idea, a feeling, or a story they want to tell, but haven't yet found the words for. The discovery consultation exists to work that out together.
The whole process is built around this. We start with a conversation, not a template, so the finished piece reflects your voice, your perspective, and how you actually speak, not a house style.
The writing itself, the words, structure, and voice of your piece, is composed by me based on our conversation. I may use tools to support research or formatting, but nothing in your final content is AI-written.
Every project includes two rounds of revisions as standard. If you need more, additional rounds can be arranged.
That's completely fine. Some clients bring notes, drafts, or transcripts; others start from nothing but a conversation. Either way works.
Timeline depends on the scope of the piece and is agreed during your consultation, so you know what to expect before any work begins.
You do. Once delivered, the writing is yours to use, publish, and share as you see fit.
If your question isn't answered here, or you're not quite sure which service fits what you're carrying right now, reach out. I'm happy to talk it through before you book anything.
